*5/20/16         A user attempted to update his inbox and while it was trying to download his latest emails, his Android phone displayed a "Database Error" message and could not update his inbox.


Note:               Sometimes if an email is in the middle of downloading and there is an error, the data gets corrupt/truncated. The email application will try to start the same download before moving on to newer email, but will not get past the corrupt/truncated email.



Solution: Clear the Cache


Android Native Email App:

  1. Settings > Applications > Default Applications > Email > Clear Cache


Touchdown Email App:

  1. Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Touchdown for Smartphones > Clear Cache​
